France - Chambreteau, La Rochelle, Bordeaux to Biscarrosse

The Chateau built on this site has been restored and is now the Hotel d'Ville.  From here you have exceptional views across the beautiful Seugne Valley. Typically the original castle was built on a cliff face to discourage assault from that side.
